Junior Writing TAG

 Today we talked about how good writers can put pictures in there people's heads.

We all wrote about Spring. Here are some wonderful snippets cut from our writing that can put pictures in other people's heads...

Harmony - "In a my house the sun is out. The days are longer and the nights are shorter."

George - "Spring is the one that makes plants grow like flowers, grass and blossoms.

Liana - "Spring is when the sun comes out. Spring is when baby animals are born."

Nafsad - "Did you know it's so quiet when spring comes and nature comes to you.I love Spring and I hate Winter. " " Spring is so lovely when you look through the window and you see the trees."

Tyson - "In Spring the trees blossom, flowers grow and plants grow. It is very hot but wait for Summer!" 

Ada - " In Spring time blossom trees come out and its gets really hot."

Alyssa - " I can feel the sun on my face and the blossoms look like candy floss. But one of my favourites is the sun, it's so hot it makes me sweat."

Zoe - "All of the beautiful Tess have blossoms on them and all the flowers are coming. The baby lambs are getting born."

Blake - "When it s 20 degrees I get to tip water on ny head n the trampoline and then I cool down."

Annabel K - " It is very hot in Spring. Sometimes I just have my singer on when it is very hot."

Harper - " Today is the first day of spring! It is when baby animals are born. They look so cute. I like to have ice cream and ice blocks. Blossom is on the trees and you can sit under the trees."

Alexis - " When it is Spring the blossoms come out at Allenton School and the blossoms look like candy floss. You can go on your trampoline and your swimming pool and have your fan on because it will be so hot in Spring."

Year 3 and 4 Writing TAG.

 We are a group of talented or gifted writers who meet once a week to spend more time focussing on out passion of Writing.

We start each session with a quick discussion of an important writing point that could improve our writing... take a copy of an example of that point to stick in the back of TAG writing books. Then we begin our writing.

We know the importance of editing our own work and so spend time each day doing just that - both as we write and together at the end of each session.

We LOVE sharing our writing with an audience and getting feedback on the effective things we have done in the pice of writing we just shared.

We will also take a photo to share our writing with our classroom teacher and caregivers at home each session.

Today we talked about the punctuation involved in direct speech. Especially where commas go and that new speakers get a new line.
